E3 2011 Empty E3 2011

Well we are 3 weeks out from E3! Starts 6 June.

What does everyone expect?

I think you will see

Sony - Showcasing their new portable device. There will be nothing about a new console. Maybe some move stuff. Exclusive games to include Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, starhawk etc.

Xbox - There are rumors they may talk about a new console. If not, more kinect crap. Exclusive game to include Gears 3.

Nintendo - Definitely showcasing a playable new console for release next year. Exclusive game to include Zelda.


Other gaming studios - Talk of latest Resident evil and maybe metal gear rising.

Any other ideas people?

ok, so far with the pre-E3 announcenment we have collections for:

Metal Gear Solid

Silent Hill

Zone of the enders

Plus, the best new so far is that X-com, an exclusive for xbox and pc is coming to ps3. I have had my eye on this game for a while. Its a shooter set in the past being developed by 2K.


2K Games has announced that XCOM, which had previously been a PC and Xbox 360 title, is currently in development for the PlayStation 3. The shooter’s release date has also been confirmed.

Developer 2K confirmed that XCOM will be heading to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, as well as PC on March 6th in the United States. The shooter will release in European territories a few days later on March 9th, 2012.

2K boss Christoph Hartmann said on the announcement:

Every time I think of XCOM it gives me the chills, the kind that come from standing witness to the corruption and destruction of your world as you stand powerless to prevent it. I’m pleased to announce today that we will be bringing this experience to an even broader audience when XCOM comes to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in March 2012.

I had a quick look at x-box's coverage. They didn't have anyting that great.

-Halo 4 for next year

-Gears 3 footage

-Another Fable

-some EA sports stuff

-Mass effect 3 to have kinect support

-Whole bunch of Kinect crap

-Timed exclusivity DLC for MW3

Thats about it I think. Bring on Sony's!

Wow all the FPS look generic and boring.
Uncharted leaving them for dead in story mode.
Starhawk looks more and more interesting with its unusual gameplay

Disappointed with Sony's showing.

It was all about the Vita and no real PS3 announcements were made. We had

-Uncharted 3 stuff

-Sly Cooper 4 announced

-Battlefield 3 Exclusive stuff

-Move support for bioshock infinite

-Exclusive game for PS3 called Dust 514

-God of War origins announced (2 psp games)


I think thats about it. How average!
