No longer the enigma..

Heya Guys,

Thought it be time I intro myself properly.
My name is Draxxx, and I'm addicted to FPS. Well, not really. But the missus would definitely say I spend way too much time 'playing with myself'.
I'm based out of Sydney, and own pretty much every console. (Hit me up for PSN / XBL / WiiID / Steam etc if you're so inclined) I've been playing games since
I was about 4.. So I have about 30 years experience.

I have played competitively (UT3/CSS) in the past, but haven't done so for about 5 years. I found the pressure to win often exceeded the fun/enjoyment factor, which
is why I play. I'm also a member of several Clans, but more often than not I don't play under tags. Most recently (couple of years ago now) I played for [AC-DC] which is
the AtomicMPC clan, on the GameArena BF2 Ladder. I'm having great difficulty in containing my enthusiasm for BF3.. Bring it ON!

I'm also love hacking (hardware, not games) so tend to tinker with pretty much everything (have previously hacked PS1 / PS2 / PS3 / Wii / PSP / iPhones etc etc).
Most recently I have been hard/soft modding my PS3, working with a guy from the US to develop fan-overrides & manual controls.
This is why I'm so active on the PS3 Firmware thread. Was doing a few downgrades / extractions when I first joined up..
I also, in my spare time do coding & graphic design, having done several pages for a guild I was in. (only played 1 MMO.. when I was younger - I swear its out of my system!)
Eagerly awaiting BF3, and MW3 to a lesser extent..

I love to get out too, I'd prefer to spend my weekends out in the sun with a few Mates and some frosty brews, but once the sun goes down its a virtual splatter fest.
I'm from the sticks (N NSW) originally, so love riding motorbikes and going shooting.

So yeah. That's me. I could go on & on, but I'm sure I've bored the shit out of most of you already.

I'm currently studying graphic design at uni and i'm loving it so far. Been a passion of mine for a long time.

Its a passion for me too. I have done work the websites I design, some for my brother-in-law's web business, and a T-Shirt / apparel series.. But honestly not much. Its more of a hobby. If I had more time, and some tertiary qualifications I'd probably do it for a living. Doing my own website atm..

In one of my uni units I am currently doing we get to make our own websites. Like an online resume/ portfolio.

@mrcrowley24 - At the very moment, I'm mid way through Deus Ex HR. And I play a bit of TF2 / BF:BC2 on the side.
Console wise, I'm nearing the end of Mortal Kombat, and RDR (I know)
I do play Warhawk, but must admit I haven't for a while (I am a bit shit at it.. Its hard to get good when you get pwned alot!)
but I do enjoy the air combat.

I've been offline for nearly a year on PSN. Having a hacked console I didn't want to risk getting my ac banned.
Having said that, I won a new slim PS3 2 weeks ago, so am setting that up.. Getting back on line..

Dont know if I should say this proudly or in small text ha... But I 2 have the Good Ol CFW PS3 and 1 for online ovcourse.

I tried to get into Coding, but only did 4 a year, and the died off after I got a Job
I also did a year in Multimedia designing websites and graphics etc, this was like 5 years ago now though, so I only do it when I can now

Be interesting to talk to you about your new project with the homebrew scene...

Are you looking forward to that DH firmware? it sounds like best thing to hit homebrew at the moment... Hopefully someone translates it to English though ha!.

(Disregard what I said about a "softmod" talking crap.. This was V1, the V2 & V3 boards don't need a pot to control the fan and can be programmed via arduino for
a % increase ie; you can override by say +5% to run a bit cooler, or -5% to be quieter.. programable to whatever you want. V3 has a remote control.. ) I digress..

Haven't seen the DH firmwares yet. Upgraded from kmeaw to ReBug a couple of months back.. and its been awesome.

Created the clan for a WARHAWK tournament, or to just straight kill each other...
Sadly, warhawk aint as fun these days, and alot of guys slowed down on it.

Hopefully STarHawk will bring it back!

Looks from the vid that they are trying to bring in a more strategic / resource based system..
