Another vote for Pro here. I actually tried some normal the other day for interest's sake, and it was just plain strange. I managed to dodge missiles almost as effectively as I can in Pro (which isn't all that well, but my point remains!), but got so disorientated doing it that I had no idea which way I was facing or where my opponent was. Felt like a complete spastic.

Thats what I feel like when I fly pro. Its just what your used to I guess. Unless you are like drift or bourkey who can fly both.

Yeah absolutely, I actually did fly normal for maybe 50 hours when I started, and did OK with it, but now it's just weird.

i used to fly normal for mosty of my hours than one day playing as towelie777-2 i was in a game with toprharley and he gave me the heads up cuz i jumped in a plane with him and he was flying upside down everywhere
but now im hooked

i only use normal if i am very bored or if i am getting so base raped that im just stuffed - its just fun

weezer, try holding down L2 and R2 at the same time while spinning in normal flight - its so fun, and you can eventually go off the screen cos the spinning is so awkward - plus it helps to dodge missiles easier

i go normal in some pre game servers...
maccaz that was my normal flight technique that i used.. hold down L2 and R2 and fly..
i was pretty good at it back in the day.. lol

Pro requires the player to exercise more control and put more effort in to get out more. Normal players can flick the sticks and get more out for less but it is less rewarding.

both have pros and cons
pro i find over all better, once u get dodging down you will rock and just flat spin all day long
normal is great for defense, and you can switch to a quick counter with a spinning lock.

Think about it, if you were drunk, it is way easier to fly normal than pro.
