UFC

I have gotten right into this lately, bought a few DVDs.
It is really awesome to watch, those guys are insanely fit and talented.

There is a fight on tonight, 9:00pm, ONE HD.
It is an actual fight airing on normal tele which is very rare.

Normally ONE HD shows old fights on a Thursday night.


Anyone else watch UFC?

Some good fights but, saw one where this guy had the other one pinned and had one of his arms in a hold, and just clean broke it just below the armpit! sick.

i'm a huge UFC fan. im proud to say ive seen every UFC main card since UFC 1, take 2 or 3. If you any of you are ever at the local video ezy, and happen to see any Pride or DREAM DVDs give them a rent. There are some excellent fights in those promotions.

he's slowing down and is just in it to keep the money rolling in now. it's actually a bit hard to watch when you know how important he was to the popularisation of the sport.

Apparently in one of the fights Griffin gets his arm broken then knocks out the other dude with his other hand! That guy is tough.

grffin is one tough dude. throughout his career so far, he's fought with a broken arm around 3 times now. the dude could beat me dead with an amputated arm man.

the 120 card poses some nice matchups i think. who do you have picked to win on the main card? I'm feeling a comeback from Kongo right now. Hes still got it in him for a few more KOs.

Yeah i remember the first ufc fights. No rounds, less rules. It use to be a knockout comp on the night. Win 3 fights to win $50 000 No weight divisions. Guys like dan severen and hoice gracie- two totally different fighters could meet in the final. It was really like street fighter. The best from each style fought each other. It has changed alot now pretty much down to a few styles. Boxing is slowly fading into the distance. Unless we get another mike. I remember a mad russian dude in one of the first five. He fought 3 over 20 min fights in one night. Getting pummelled for at least 40 mins. He was unreal. Can't remember his name. Carnage your not from the goldi are you?

Same, for me I think they over show it.
We have fights on like 2 days a week (all replays)

So when you watch it so often the big fights go unnoticed.

Think they need to cut it back a bit and heavily advertise the big fights. The current fights.

Yeah the first UFCs were totally brutal man. The fighter you might be referring to is Oleg Taktarov, he used to wear the black gi i think. The dude had the concentration of a kung fu master. Simply brillant haha

if you watch his fight against renzo youll see that he's gotten fat and slow in every way possible. he's definately seen better days
