St Kilda vs Geelong
The game actually might be a lot closer than people have assumed. A few things have fallen St Kildas way.
Chapman is out and it looks like it may be wet.
Go the saints!

Re: St Kilda vs Geelong
I'm slowly becoming a Saints fan (bit hard to follow the game in Sydney though)
Every time I'm asked what team I support I tell people Saints and depending on what code they follow they usually presume either St Kilda or St George.
Even though I barely follow the sport I was pretty gutted in the GF, this looks to be a good rematch.

Few questions while you guys are on.
Sparton, The NRL are on the verge of expanding into the central coast of NSW and Perth.
Is there much of an interest over there? Would anyone actually care?
and to anyone else.
Who are your big name players in AFL?
Are they considered the forwards or attackers etc? Do you actually call them forwards?

Full Back
Half Back
Midfield
Half Foward
and
Full foward are the basic postitions. There are a lot of ways to place these players and the posistion seems to be more of a title than a postition to the elite players.
The Melbourne rebels will have a decent following.

What my point is, there always seems to be big news when a player is out injured.
Gunn stated a few times that St Kilda aren't very good without a particular player, is this the case in AFL? (very much like basketball)

Re: St Kilda vs Geelong
St Kildas captain and main forward, Nick Riewoldt, is one of these elite players. His position is more a label than his actually position as he plays anywhere and every where well. AFL teams rely on forwards a lot as they are the goal kickers and with out Nick, we kind of have no big decent forwards.
Luckily St Kilda have a team of super stars and arguably (given G.Abletts recent form) the best player in the legue in Brendan Goddard.

I think Geelong will kill them, honestly. Id like it to be a good match but I don't think it will be.

Re: St Kilda vs Geelong
Just came back from Lions V Saints. Was a pretty good game. Close game with saints besting the boys from Brisbane town.
Reidwolt made his comeback and booted a few. Pretty decent seats (3rd row). Almost 30,000 attendance which is not bad.
