Plans for the new year.

Been a little dead around here so lets get things rolling.
I'm not big on believing a new year means a new me but i do like to set goals for the new year. For me im heading into year 12 so i'll be busy hitting the books all year (hopefully jump on the ps3 every now and then) so my goal for the year is to get a great ATAR (used to be TER). I also want to get to the gym more. While im no where near fat i've lost my athletic body since i stopped playing club basketball. Hopefully i'll build up a gym regime in the coming months and get back to how i was.

How about everyone else? have you set yourself any goals or want to go somewhere or do something? maybe get through all of last years hit games before 2012 swamps the shelves! let us hear it

if ive still got a job in two months, I plan to travel Europe again late this year, and hopefully buy a new car too.

On topic, this year is basically about my wedding for me. So its just about saving up for it (bloody expensive!) and getting in shape by then (October:).

Do you have any idea what you want to do after yr-12 gasman?

Ahh the big wedding! Plenty of time to prepare before october. Have you got a lot of it planned yet or are you still plowing away at it all? It should be fantastic.

At the moment i don't have a career path i want to follow but i'm heavily math/science based. I'm planning on doing a general science degree at Adelaide uni. Hopefully from there i can see what i like most and follow that. It's all becoming pretty daunting though haha.

I work at a power station which currently has a lot of debt. A LOT. Each part of the station has undergone a review to see where they can cut costs. The drafting contract (im a draftsman) has now gone out to tender in hopes of a better rate. If my company does not win the contract then I will no longer be working at the Power Station.


I plan to travel some parts of Europe I did not get to last time. Current plan is Munich (for Oktoberfest) - Switzerland - Malta - London - Scotland - Ireland.

Yeah most of the big things like cars, wedding dress, venue, church, photohtapher etc have been organised which is great! We just have to go through and do the little things like decorations, flowers etc. Luckily my fiance is super organised so she is all over that!

Its a bitch of a year the HSC, but study hard, it is only one year of a long life and it gives you more options if you get a good mark.

I bought a trek road bicycle a couple of months ago so this year is the year of cycling for me. I'm really loving it, only riding bout 300km per week now but hoping to step it up to 500 or so in the next couple of months. Trying to keep up my swimming and hopefully do a triathlon at some stage.

Also looking at possibly buying a place to live in 6 months or so and possibly take a holiday and go to the Olympics

Im committed to being more healthy this year. My only real goal.

I'm doing more physical activity, taking multivitamins etc.

Once that goal is well an truly completed, I'll move onto my next goals.

Well hello everybody. I haven't been around here since before Christmas so I thought I would pop back in and say hi to you all.
Around late November I got a new job working at the international airport. I'm a rampy which is a lot of hard work. I've been working 40 hour weeks and after that I get too buggered to do anything.

Today I finally got my 3 grand back pay that my previous job owed me. So I went out and brought myself a Mac desktop for my graphic design at uni and an iPad 2..
I start my second year at uni / second semester for graphic design. Hopefully I can make more of an appearance when I get back into my schedule in march..

lost my job. this years plans are out the window...

The review finished and a different company won the contract. I've been given a month to finish up and piss off.

Shit, real sorry to hear that mate. Everyone's worst nightmare. Hope you can find something asap! Is there any jobs around in your line of work?
