Dead Space 3

Unfortunately, DS3 is getting average reviews. This is due, unsurprisingly, to the fact that they have taken away horror elements and replaced them with more action elements. I will still get it, but its annoying as the formula for DS1 was perfect. Anyone else getting it?

I looked at it, i havent played either of the other two games yet. They are pretty cheap these days though.
My dilemma, is finding time to play lol. The kids have practically taken over one of my ps3's playing their lego games, lol. That was MY bad haha.

I've still got to get into Assassins Creed Revelations, and there is the new one...*sigh* so many games, so little time.

Played the first couple of chapters and its definetly not as good as the first two. haha bout the kids.

Doesn't interest me. No horror any more.

Finished this game and it ended up being better than I thought it would be. The horror is definetly not there compared to the first game, but there are scares in it and it is challenging in parts. Plus its quite a lengthy game with good visuals. I look forward to seeing dead space on the PS4 and see what they can do with that extra power.

Bloke at work loves dead space, said its starting to feel like a cash cow now though (ala assassins creed). Any truth to that?

Nah not as much as Assassins creed or COD. Any series that starts bringing out yearly updates loses orginality. The problem with Dead Space is that the fans loved it for the survival horror and they have been moving towards action which is a mistake (look at Resident Evil). Thats whats pissing the fans off.

Ah, I see. Well I'm not particularly fond of sequels to movies, I guess this series gets dampened in the exact same way.

I was such a fan of assassins creed but I never finished revelations and then I was pumped for ac3 but then I didn't get it, and never wanted to. It's just become a money hungry series now.
