What have you been up to, since we last spoke?

So, where to start.
I think it's been 5 or 6 years since we all got into warhawk... This forum hasn't been properly active for over 2 years, has had some activity within the last year...
For the sake of keeping everyone up to date, I'm going to just real off stuff from the last 2 years.

I think everyone knew I changed jobs, I work for the government now.
2 years ago in april, I bought my first house. It was a huge change for me. It's odd how your priorities change a lot when you start paying for everything yourself. I also got into basketball, which to this day I am still addicted to.
So that altered my gaming habits A LOT. I stopped playing MP games and started playing NBA on the playstation, and I started to grow up and go out and meet people rather than sit in my room.

I'm 24 currently, so through the WH years was when I was really growing up/coming into my own.

I have been playing basketball in 3 teams (so 3 nights a week), so that combined with normal social stuff you do when you are between the ages of 21-24, you just don't get as much time to play games and stuff that you used to.

About a year ago (in 6 days actually) I met a beautiful girl at a party, and we connected instantly. Jen and I have been living together for nearly six months now.
It's crazy how normal life can just be that much better when sharing it with someone!

Well, now my priorities have changed yet again and I'm not going out nearly as much. So if I'm not going to a wedding, engagement or 30th, now I spend my weekends at home with Jen.

Still work at the same place, still the same Tom/cap, just I guess a little more mature and learned.
Missing this place/you guys a fair bit now, didn't realise I was.

Would be great to hear from you all again.

I guess since WH, my gaming has evolved also. Kids are now 4 and 5, so kid friendly games are the go these days, lol. Anything Lego, Disney and recently Skylanders.
Getting married in September to Bec (who I have been with now for 7 years now), so that is a long time overdue.

Still working at Optus (9th year) and have moved from my old shop at Chermside to look after the northern brisbane and still some regional stores(Mount Isa and Emerald).
We are going company in the next few months (from franchise to Optus Company) which means I will be based in one store, but getting paid more to look after just the one store. Works for me though will miss the regional travel every month.

Nothing else with me so far. keen to put the WH disc in, hopefully every couple of thursday nights if we can arrange it. I still suck so will get dominated by the guys that havent played for a number of years haha.

Oh man, getting married??!?! CONGRATULATIONS! That's amazing!

Great to hear about the job too, you'll be coming up on long service so getting that at a better pay rate is awesome haha!

Yeah Jen is a keeper I think. She's a little too good for me, but I'll hold onto her as long as she can tolerate me haha

Here's the last couple of years:
- our kids are now 6 and 8 and our life continues to grow with them. They are great kids! My son will no doubt be right into online gaming as he gets older but for now we don't allow it.
- hubby has moved into a seriously exciting job and is living the real life action hero "dream" (well that's how I see it anyway). He's much more casual about it.
- ive stayed working at the same place but my job has evolved quite a bit. At the moment I'm assessing what direction I want to go in as I need a change.
- i kept playing warhawk and am now a general

All is good with me. I got married last October and things are going great with my wife. We still live and work in Sydney. We want to get back to Newy in the next few years, but we are happy here for the meantime. We are just trying to get more experience at work and hopefully that will get us back.

Ive been having some problems with my foot and may need surgery, sooner rather than later unfortunately. Its sort of got me a bit down as the recovery time is long and will be a pain for our short term plans. Will see what happens.

Still play plenty for PS3 and warhawk, although not as much as I used to.

Yeah I think I remember seeing on FB about your wedding Ryno. That's absolutely fantastic. Always love to hear that someone has found their other half. I love weddings/marriage (Yes, this isn't a chick typing haha). Stoked for you!

Rightio, me now. Two years ago I bought a place, just been cruising along. Still working as a mechanical draftsman at a power station, after a few months without a contract, where I worked in WA and Melbourne.
I slowly got bored of gaming in that time.
About 10 months ago I met a bird, and soon enough I'll ask Nicola to move in. She's a top girl. Now I'd much rather spend time with her at home, and as always catch up with mates and drink beer on the weekend.
Like tom said, your priorities change a lot.

Right now, I'm on a holiday in Europe. Started in Malta, then Switzerland. Now I'm in London, next is York, Scotland, Ireland then finally going home. 31 days in total!

I actually haven't been up to fuck all since we last spoke. Work a full time job at the airport still. Still live with mum and dad. I'm interested in an investment property but after a meeting with my dads mortgage guy I still need more money.
I'm currently trying and putting in a lot of effort to get a girlfriend. Haha.

Yeah good idea sparto. Highly recommend taking advantage of living at your parent and not having to pay rent (expensive rent anyways).

In order to create some talk around here - my holiday is going well.
Malta was brilliant, very relaxing and great weather. Zurich was very nice, but fucking cold and very expensive (15 aud for a big mac), London is london, York was a great surprise, and now in Scotland which I am enjoying. Nice city, and haggis is good too. Ireland tomorrow.

I love that the international measure for price differences is a big mac, everyone uses it for comparison.

Oh - with your tele, i didn't muck around with the AMP cause I was busy and had to go.
So I just put the antenna straight into the tele and changed sound to the tele, put your AMP remote away and said Nicola can watch tele with just that remote. Should save any stuff ups until you get back.

Good to hear gunn,sounds like your enjoying yourself. Never got to York, wish I had.
