Ok the new new game (a crack i time) just got a 9.0 review from IGN. Not bad. I never played the games on the ps2 (didnt have a ps2), but tools of destruction was awesome! I will definetly be getting this one. Anyone else Ratchet/clank fans? Anyone getting a crack in time?

Definitely. I love the R&C series. The ones on PS2 (Up Your Arsenal especially) were heaps better than Tools of Destruction. But they are all great games.

Can't beat high production value titles.

Yeah it may seem a bit kidish, but the humor is top-notch, any adult can laugh at it. Like Wotta said, its a high production title. Sorta like you are playing a Pixar produced game! I guess it just depends if you like platformer games?!

I don't have it yet. I paid it off at EB Games and they still don't have it in stock. Apparently they will have it on Thursday.
It's pissing me off.

I'm not a fan of R&C All 4 one.

I just watched the GT review and it got 7.1. How the mighty have fallen!

I really liked ToD, but I didn't really enjoy a crack in time. Now they have focused on co-op and its not the same for me. This one looks rushed as the visuals aren't as good as ToD and apparently there are lots of bugs. I prefer more single player focused gameplay with good weaponry and solid platforming segments. Maybe Insomniac shouldn't have released this and Resistence 3 in the same year?

Anyways, I'm not going to get this. There are so many more quality titles that deserve my attention over this busy gaming period.

The series has gradually been getting worse for a few years now. It upsets me to see it go this way.
What happened to the explosive single player fun they used to provide? The weapons were so well designed, as were the enemies and planets. Now it's simply shit.

All4One is a shit fucken idea. Nefarious should always be the bad guy, not an ally. Fuck Insomniac.

Interesting, Insomniac are brining a new R&C game to the PS3! It will be a PSN game so probably only go for a few hours I would imagine. They say it wont be like a crack in time which is a good thing!

Insomniac Games has announced a new Ratchet & Clank title for PS3 (via PSN).

On the PS Blog, Ted Price announced that Insomniac Games will be releasing Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PS3 on the PlayStation Network. The game is being released as a part of Insomniac’s celebration of Ratchet & Clank‘s 10th Anniversary Celebration. The game is said to feature a return to the series’ “classic feel,” weapons, camera (which Price describes as a classic third person Ratchet & Clank camera), and controls “while innovating and giving you a whole new way to play.” The game will also include unspecified online features to enable gamers to experience the game with their friends.

No release date was mentioned for the game, but Price says that the game is launching sometime later this year.

Finally, Price also mentioned that more news on the upcoming Ratchet & Clank Collection‘s release date and a “special surprise” for North American fans will be coming in the next couple of weeks.

Insomniac Games Community Lead James Stevenson also answered some questions and revealed some information in the comments:

Stevenson said that FFA will be closer to Quest For Booty than A Crack In Time, but will be more replayable than either of those games.
No time puzzles are in FFA, but there’s a “whole new twist” this time and it’s “not a mind-bending one.”
The game will be released in Europe as Ratchet & Clank: Q-Force and will be released on a region-free Blu-ray. The European release should occur in the same week as the North American release.
When asked if there would be a Vita version of Ratchet & Clank, Stevenson replied: “That’s all up to Sony. We’re focused on console development.”
Story-wise, the game is “definitely” set after All 4 One, but is not the Future saga — it’s a standalone story.
When asked about the possibility of Ratchet: Deadlocked getting an HD remaster or a PS2 Classics release, Stevenson replied: “*whistles and walks away*”

New Ratchet and clank game coming later this year. They say its a return to the series roots. I hope so, the last couple have been average and I didnt even bother getting them. Will keep an eye on it and if reviews are good I will give it a go.

You getting it gunn?

If the series returns to what it once was (ps2 days) then I'll probably pick it up.
