Final Fantasy XIII

anybody else interested in getting this game when it comes out??
Everyone has hyped about it so much so it better be worth it.

Of course im getting it. It is going to be very good. It's been out in Japan for nearly three months now and has received stellar reviews.

March 9 is the release date, I think.

wotta is FF XIII played like all the other ones or is it played as more of an
rpg like Demon Soul's and shit???

It will play like a final fantasy game I imagine
there has only been about 15 or so ff games before this one
not to mention square enix has heaps more games out on xbox and pc that play the exact same way

maybe try ff7 or ff8 off the store before this one

I had thought you would have played a ff game seeing as you have changed your sig to a ff one???

i heard that this one might be played like an actual rpg unlike the previous ones..
i havnt played any of the games, i just changed to this sig cos i was bored. lol

I'll be getting it, It actually looks like it plays similar to FF8, even the monsters are the same.

Squall, the main character had a gunblade.

It will play like most other FF games, ie: FF7, FF8 etc.


The Japan based SquareEnix have been working on this for 6 or so years. All of these other "SquareEnix" games out now are made by the US divisions, and are very different from the creators in Japan.

Gameplay is very similar though

last remnant was done by the us one I believe??? Production value isn't there but the game play is the same

look I haven't played them all, just from what I have seen they all seem to try and use the same winning formulae that they have mastered in the ff games

seen a few reviews round 8.5 .i never trust reviews but

I got this yesterday, didn't give it any time though.
I was tired and didn't want to miss any of the story.

Will play it some time this week.

I'm sort of in the same boat. Bought it yesterday as well as BFBC2.

Figure ill Plat BFBC2 quickly, then play God of War III solid for a good two weeks and plat that, then ill go back to FF13 and pay attention to it, because it needs it.
I played about an hour of it last night though. Very impressed with the visuals, and the battle system seems great.

just brought my limited edition copy for $60...
traded in 3 games which took quite a bit off it... pity i can't start playing till the weekend
though.. then i can't play it till the weekend after..

I've seen it for $80 already - must not be that great.

finally got to play tonight and it's fuckin awesome...
it's good with all the tutorials that pop up at random times cos instead
of learning everything at one point it comes randomly...
halfway through chapter 3 and only 2:45 hours in.... i love the fighting in this game, pretty epic... lol
the only thing is the story, it's kinda confusing at some points..

It is pretty good. Was disappointed with some changes at first but now I am very pleased with the game overall.
The battle system is perfect.
The fights look amazing.

How do you tell what chapter you are up to tim?

wen you save it you save it on the save you already hvae but before you press save or any other
button it shows your chapter ad playtime...
i just got up to chapter 7 last nightwith almost 10 hours played...
you can also check yur save data utilityto find out this info but you can'tbe playin the game to do so..

Sam is already at 9 or 10 I think, she was trying to explain some of the game to me but I don't quite understand what the hell she's doing.

well i'm not gonna be able to play it till friday now.. im pretty pissed..

Hi all, glad you guys like the game so far. I am at chapter 12 at the moment and having a blast. Its the hardest fantasy yet.
Don't worry about trophy collecting just yet. You can finish the game and return to earlier to missions to clean up. So just enjoy the game to the end.

So many good games all at once. BFBC2 is also very addicting. And now there is GOW2 and Yakuza 3. My eyes are going to melt.
