Re: Speed Tests
Result in my new house
It's a million times better than my parents - still only mediocre though.

Re: Speed Tests
Recently got a new modem/router from telstra because our old one was dropping out a lot. With the installation of the new one our speeds went from roughly 400KB/s to this
Called telstra up yesterday and they sent a message forward to the guys that manage our exchange. The guys were testing the line today and called us up. They're now sending a guy down to see whats the problem at the exchange (they said there was interference and that everything wasn't connecting properly to the exchange. Not too sure, not down with the tech talk). If they can't find a problem at the exchange we could be looking at a new phone line to our house. Pretty impressed though. Normally you get fucked about when trying to get a problem sorted but we could have ours fixed in3/4 days including the day we called. Will be interesting to see what our speeds will be when they fix it up.

Re: Speed Tests
Yeahh we're on an adsl2+ plan. For some reason the guy was saying our modem or our line isn't making a full connection the the exchange. Thats why the speeds have dropped off. If they can fix it up and improve the speeds to better then they were before i'll be happy.

Re: Speed Tests
Guy came and fixed the problem today. Back up with slightly better speeds than our previous best. Still nothing special but nice to be cruising smoothly again.
