Re: Beer
Ha Ive always like that quick joke..
A man puts a box of beer into the trolley cart only for the wife to pull it out and explain why its not needed.
The couple keep walking and the Wife grabs $50 worth of makeup products etc...
The husband pulls them out and she explains, I need these to look beautiful for you everyday...
The man turns back and picks up his box...
This also does the same trick but only half the price...
HA!
Steainys 4 me...
Oh and HOT STUFF... Cant go wrong with HOTSTUFF... Well actually I think thats when things DO go wrong

Re: Beer
It's James Squire Golden Ale.
I had about 8 Pints of it on Saturday night and felt terrible the next morning because of it.

James Squire has a new one on Tap in Darling Harbour at the moment.
Summer Lager I think.
Really crisp and light, would be great for a barbie on the beach.

Good call Azza, the pure is pretty nice. For a long time I suspected it had magical hangover preventative qualities. ie. Include a pure in your evening's drinking and you would be a box of birds the next day. I ruined that theory not long ago though. 'twas a stupid theory, but it held for a number of months!

Re: Beer
Recently went to Prague and tried Pilsner Urquell and I enjoyed it! So when I got back to London I got some and I am enjoying it right now! Also, I really like a Spanish beer called Estrella. If you see either in a bottlo, give them a go!!

Re: Beer
One of the Mrs clients is Coopers, They gave her a free promotional case of Coopers 62.
Haven't tried it yet but so far Coopers has done no wrong in my book.
With the 20% off sale at Woolworths liquor I've also picked up a case of Carlsberg's.
$32 - ridiculous

How many in a case if you don't mind me asking (Probably a stupid question!)? YOu can routinely get 12 Carlsberg's for $20 in supermarkets here.

Re: Beer
Our six packs are likely $16 - $20 here.
For the amount of Beer Australians drink we're pretty ripped off.

It's acceptable for bec coz she's a girl.

Re: Beer
I don't get premixed drinks anyway.
You can mix yourself and make a stronger but cheaper drink.
Anyway back on topic, me and a mate went through that case of Carlsberg's I bought the other day and now I need to buy more.
I'm putting some of their kids through college I'm sure of it.
On an unrelated note I had a terrible hangover Sunday morning.

Re: Beer
Me and a mate are going to 101 Beers on Saturday then on to Oakley to find the best beer brewing kit we can.
We're looking at a stainless steel kit around the $300 mark. We are going to brew some Old English style dark Ale. Nothing better.

Re: Beer
Well, we bought the brewing kit yesterday and then some beer from 101 Beers.
The kit set us back $347, and we are hoping to start brewing within two weeks.
These are the beers I bought.
This beer is beautiful. It's a little bit bitter and very smooth. It's a dark amber colour.
I wasn't too sure about this one when I bought, but it too turned out very nice. It has a very similar taste to Duchy Original Ale (above) but is lighter, and kinda crisp for an ale.
Now this - this is the best beer I have ever tasted. This is the beer I want to brew. It is a rich Amber Ale with nice malt flavours, that are akin to Ale's I drank in London. There's a hint of chocolate/caramel in there, and a bit of a floral flavour too. It is perfectly smooth and was like drinking heaven in a glass.
